Laguna Madre Water District (LMWD) will be doing some improvements on its water distribution system in your area to better serve its customers. LMWD will be installing three 8 inch water valve for the Port Isabel Valve and Water Line Rehabilitation Project at the corner of Marina Dr. and E Monroe St.. Work is to be done on September 27, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

In order for the work to be done safely and properly LMWD will be shutting down the water system in your area for an extended period of time and some areas will be experiencing low water pressure or no water at all. The affected area will be, E. Adams St, Queens Point Dr, Isabella Point Dr, Windward Dr, Marina Dr, and South Garcia St. from E. Adams St. to E Shore Dr.

LMWD recommends that its customers store water for sanitary use and for cooking in containers and or buckets. If there is a medical condition please, take this time to make the necessary arrangements to meet your medical needs. LMWD also recommends that all businesses with water pumps or chillers, take the needed precaution to protect their pumps and chillers at this time.

LMWD apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to its customers. Work can be postponed due to weather conditions or LMWD emergencies.

We are no longer in the WATER CONSERVATION “STAGE 2 OF OUR CONTINGENCY PLAN”  Since the water levels have risen about 50 percent. Laguna Madre Water District  would like to thank its customers and announce that there are no restrictions at this time.
